Quote from Voice of the Martyrs Richard Wurmbrand:
“ Before entering prison, I loved Christ very much. Now after having seen the bride of Christ (His spiritual body) in prison, I would say that I love the underground church almost as much as I love Christ Himself. I have seen her beauty , her spirit of sacrifice.”

Two People Killed, Homes and Stores Torched in Attack on Coptic Christians in Egypt-30/11/11

By Michael Ireland
Senior International Correspondent, ASSIST News Service

CAIRO, EGYPT (ANS) -- Thousands of Muslims attacked and besieged Copts in elGhorayzat village, population 80,000, killing two Copts and severely wounding others, as well as looting and torching homes and businesses.
Events started on Monday, November 28, when John Hosni, a building supplier, had a quarrel with his neighbor, Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer (48), over some steel rods and cement Hosni had left in the street to use for erecting a wall around his house.
After killing the Copts, Muslims went on a rampage, looting and burning Christian owned homes and businesses, AINA reported.
"Security was present in all the streets, and protected the churches, but they did nothing in the face of Muslims killings, looting and torching of Christian property," said another eyewitness, who managed to get out of the village "by a miracle," as he put it, leaving all his belongings and money behind.
The eyewitness added that Muslims are openly walking the streets carrying firearms and clubs while the police standby and do nothing. The number of police is not enough, there are about 500 Muslims for every one policeman.

70,000 plus pray in Cairo
Posted on: 2011-11-22 22:25:09
By Joseph DeCaro, Worthy News Correspondent

CAIRO, EGYPT (Worthy News)-- Last week more than 70,000 prayed all night in Cairo, but they weren't Muslims.

The largest Christian event in Egypt for more than a millenium was held at St. Simeon the Tanner Coptic Orthodox Church in Mokattam, Cairo's largest "garbage city". An Egyptian Christian leader called it the beginning of a revival, even though there was no promotion for, or media coverage of the all-night event.

Back in September 2009, during a prayer meeting in Egypt, the event's organizer prophesied that President Mubarak would receive "no grace" in 2011; the Spirit further revealed that there would be bloodshed, persecution and the destruction of churches, but if God's people would hear His voice and repent, then He would hear
their prayers.

In ‘Garbage City’ in Cairo, thousands of people live amidst the growing garbage piles which they sort each day for their livelihood. The stench is overwhelming at times. The people are the poorest of the poor and many are believers. They have a renowned church called the Cave Church, which they have hollowed out in a mountain, and which has a seating capacity of 20,000 people. All along the sides of the mountain they've engraved Bible scenes and Bible verses in Arabic. It's an amazing sight.
This was the location of an all-night prayer meeting on November 11, which had an overflowing 75,000 people in attendance from all denominations to pray for the nation. It was the first time in the history of Egypt that leaders from all denominations united together for such an event. Many people watched the service on screens set up all over the mountain, and joined in - hands lifted up, eyes to heaven, and tears flowing down their faces. Check out this impressive video of the prayer gathering.

A miracle from within Egypt during the riots & upheaval in January 2011
Names withheld.
On 5th January, a Christian man & his wife, went into the desert to have a week with the Lord. A quiet time to relax, & seek God’s face for the days ahead. It was a Coptic Monastery, a place where many Egyptian Christians go to rest.
“We were praying at the church.” they said. “When suddenly we heard a Muslim woman, who had entered the Monastery wearing the veil. She had come in from the streets near bye. She was crying and weeping with shouts of ESSA, ESSA, ESSA (which means Jesus).”
When the people in the church saw her wearing the veil, and that she looked like a religious Muslim woman, they began to be afraid, for they thought that she had come possibly to bomb the church. This time was an extremely fearful time in Egypt, since it was only days before that the Alexandria church had been bombed and 13 people killed.
The lady fell down at the door of the church and cried, saying - “Jesus help me, I believe in you ESSA.” My husband and I both felt in our spirit that this woman really was in need of Jesus’ help. We saw her heart, that it really was broken. So we ran quickly to her, & bowed down to hug her. Saying, “What is your problem?” She began to speak to me, saying, “I have only one son, his name is Mohamed, he has been taken to jail for having drugs on him, he has been arrested & given 25 years in prison.
I could see that she was so lonely & quite distraught. She had prayed to Mohamed her prophet, but Mohamed did not answer, so she had come to ask Jesus for help.
I told her about Jesus’ love and mercy, and she was crying, and weeping, even more so after that I told her the story about Peter from the bible. I told her how, when he was in jail, the angel came to him, opened the doors and took him out of the prison.
I asked her if she believed in Jesus? & If she believed that He & only He, can give her son back & release him from prison?
We said to her, “We do not know how? But if you believe He can do it, if you truly believe in Christ the only GOD, and that He died on the cross for you, that His blood will cover you and save you from death. He can do this for you.
She said to me “Yes! I believe in ESSA the son of Mary.” I asked her to pray with me the prayer of  salvation, and she prayed.
During this time, I had not realized but the people in the church were so afraid of her, that they called the police, and they came and took her out of the church. It all happened so fast, that I just had time to take her mobile number down and she was gone.
20 days later, the revolution started in Egypt on 25th January, and as you know it was all over the news, that all the jails were opened.
When we heard about the jails being opened, we knew that this was something God had done. So I called the woman & asked her about her son? She told me, Jesus, the only GOD heard my prayer, and He did all these things in Egypt, He made the President fall, and the jails opened for me. She told me - when the jails opened her son was free and came to her on the same night. In this very moment she was sleeping and dreaming that Jesus was holding her son and bringing him home. Suddenly she heard a voice (mom, mom, mom, wake up I am your son. I have come back, the jail is opened, and I am home). She woke up, praised the Lord Jesus and hugged her son, Mohamed.
She said to me, “I love Jesus, I gave Jesus all my life, and I want follow Him all the way. Please come and tell me more about the truth of Jesus.“

This is our GOD! He can change all the world because of us, He answered the prayer of a Muslim woman, when she called to Him.
Don't be afraid about speaking of Jesus in the Middle East, she says -I want this message to go out to all Christians, so they will not be afraid. This is a testimony that God is there for us, and that He will prepare the hearts to be ready. That all the Muslim country's will know Him, and make Him known.
We need the Father’s heart for these people!
We need prayer for protection, and His covering for our vision, for our Nation to see Jesus, & turn their eyes to Him.
A servant of the living God
